The federal democratic republic of Ethiopia, city government of Addis Ababa and Swedesurvey together with the local partner Prime Consultants PLC has signed a management contract regarding the establishment of a real property registration agency. The contract period is 22 months.

The expected deliverables are:

• Technically and managerially competent staff, acceptable working environment, well equipped and organized offices with complete and working relevant regulations, procedures, rules and work flow management tools;
• 150,000 registered land parcels and attachments with essential records of owner, rights, restrictions, responsibilities and other required information;
• Modernized and maintained registry index map based on the adjudication and transactions carried out on each parcel;
• Maintained and updated records of the registry system on parcel, property, owner's right, responsibility and restriction with the physical reality of parcels on the ground:
• Design and published electronic property books;
• 150,000 issued certificate of title in a form of electronic property book without any defects of records both on the book and digital data;
• Efficient and speedy processing of real property registration and transaction with internationally acceptable rate per day.
