Swedesurvey has signed a big cadastral contract with Ktimatologio S.A. in Greece.
The implementation of the contract include completion of the cadastral survey and land registration to create a National Cadastre covering the four municipalities Alexandropouli, Xanthi, Drama and Kilkis in northern Greece.
The project is divided into two stages. The first stage includes creation and delivering of a Digital Cadastral Database of descriptive data together with spatial data for the collected rights. The database will be used in the following suspension phase.
The second stage includes the suspension where cadastral diagram and tables will be submitted to all land owners (beneficiaries) for their consideration. The owners can send in objections and application for corrections. The objections will be handled and the decided corrections will be incorporated in the databases.
At the end of the contract the final cadastral database will be delivered to form the first registration and to complete the National Cadastre for the four cities.
The estimation is that over 350 000 rights will be handled in the project. The contract period is 45 months.
