Swedesurvey put forward a proposal for a land information system in Mauritius. It began with a review of the background to the National Land Information Project elaborated within the Ministry of Housing and Land Development. Then, amongst other things, a workplan for a pilot project was made as well as a Human Resource Development plan, which was elaborated after an inventory including the entire staff of the Survey Division. A draft proposal for a National Land Information Act was put forward as well as proposals for e.g. upgrading the Cartographic Section and a project plan.
