Swedesurvey has conducted two feasibility studies in Uganda. As well as fact finding missions, studies were made of user and stakeholder demands on a land information system and a study tour to Sweden and Lithuania organised for officials at the Ministry of Water, Lands and Environment and members of the LIS Working Committee. The studies resulted in a proposal for a concept for a national land information system. Swedesurvey is currently one of the partners in a project for the Design, Supply and Implementation of the Land Information System and Securing Land Records in Uganda.
