Urban Land Administration Training Programme

Lantmateriet/Swedesurvey is currently running the second phase of the training programme 'Urban Land Administration' in Nairobi , Kenya . All 25 participants that started the programme in Gavle in September 2006 are present in Nairobi.

After the second phase the programme offers a continued, but limited, support until September 2007.

The top management of Rosnedvizhimost, Lantmateriet and Swedesurvey met in Gavle and Stockholm in order to discuss future cooperation opportunities. The visit also marked the end of the 3-5-year Swedish-Russian Land Administration Programme. The Russian delegation expressed their great satisfaction regarding the Swedish contribution to the sector which demonstrates significant achievements in recent years.

Swedesurvey and DSM in Botswana

Swedesurvey AB signs a three-year contract with the Department of Surveys and Mapping (DSM) in Botswana for the Establishment of a Remote Sensing Infrastructure in Botswana. The project will help DSM to further define its leading role as the prime producer and co-ordinator of Geospatial information in Botswana and they will be the backbone for the supply of georeferenced image data to both the public and private sectors in Botswana.
