Swedesurvey participated in the CSGPC conference in Fuzhou, Fujian province, during 23-25 November 2011. The CSGPC conference is a huge conference with participants from all the provicial Surveying and Mapping departments, NASMG, Universities etc.

Swedesurvey wins a new contract in Botswana

During the period 2003-2007, Swedesurvey carried out an assignment with focus on integrated usage of GIS technology within the Department of Surveys and Mapping (DSM), fully funded by the Botswana Government. A support agreement has now been signed with the aim to review the procedures and upgrade applications, geodatabase servers and its storage to the latest versions of the IT-tools. This assignment is taken place during 2011 and 2012.

Swedesurvey signs contract in Greece

Swedesurvey has signed a big cadastral contract with Ktimatologio S.A. in Greece.The implementation of the contract include completion of the cadastral survey and land registration to create a National Cadastre covering the four municipalities Alexandropouli, Xanthi, Drama and Kilkis in northern Greece. The project is divided into two stages. The first stage includes creation and delivering of a Digital Cadastral Database of descriptive data together with spatial data for the collected rights. The database will be used in the following suspension phase.

International NSDI conference in Skopje - Conclusions

An excellent international NSDI Conference was organized on 19 and 20 of September 2011 in Skopje. The conference has been considered as a highly professional event that shall contribute to the promotion and development of NSDI in the Republic of Macedonia, and in the region as well.

Professor Anders Östman joins the Swedesurvey team

Starting from September 1st, professor Anders Östman is a new employee at Swedesurvey. Anders has a mixed background, from academy as well as private industry.  In 1978, Anders was graduated as a Land Surveyor at KTH in Stockholm. But his research interest was quite strong already at that time, so he continued his studies there and earned a PhD degree in Photogrammetry in 1986. Mr. Anders Östman then went to Intergraph where he worked with sales support and major installation projects.

Visit from Hebei province

A high level delegation from the Hebei province, China, visits Sweden and Swedesurvey during 3rd – 6th of September. The main purpose of the visit is to build an even stronger relationship between the Hebei province and Swedesurvey, and a common understanding, for future cooperation in upcoming projects.

Swedesurvey signs another contract in Ethiopia

The federal democratic republic of Ethiopia, city government of Addis Ababa and Swedesurvey together with the local partner Prime Consultants PLC has signed a management contract regarding the establishment of a real property registration agency. Swedesurvey signs contract in Ghana

The Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development (MLGRD) and Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA) as one part and Swedesurvey as the other part has signed a contract regarding a continuation and up-scaling of technical assistance for design and development of an Urban Management Land Information System (UMLIS). Swedesurvey will work closely together with AMA and the local partner, Geo-Tech Systems Ltd in this three year project in Accra, Ghana.

Swedesurvey & Korea Cadastral Survey Corporation Cooperation

Mr. Ola Wennerby and Mr. Chinzorig Batbileg, Swedesurvey representatives, visited Korea Cadastral Survey Corporation the 12th-13th April, 2011 to discuss the potential areas of cooperation. Both organizations have keen interest to form a strategic partnership to cooperate in Asia and the Pacific region in the land sector. Moreover, discussions were held on cooperation and exchange between Korean and Swedish experts on areas such as 3D-cadastre and related legislation, Continuously Operating Reference Stations and geodetic network.

Swedesurvey wins contract in Ethiopia

Swedesurvey has signed another contract in Ethiopia. The Ministry of Communication and Information Technology Ethiopia has signed a contract for the development of a National GIS Standard and Guideline for Ethiopia. Swedesurvey work together with the local partner Prime Consultants in the upcoming project.

International NSDI conference in Skopje

The International NSDI conference is titled ”Impact of the NSDI in the Society and the Challenges for its Establishment”. Invitations has been sent out to more than 600 guests from all over the world. The conference is supported by FIG, International Fedaration of Surveyors and EuroGeographics. Swedesurvey’s Jan Zakariasson is part of the International Organization Committee.

MoU signed with Rosreestr

A memorandum of Understanding has been signed between Rosreestr, The Federal Service for State Registration, Cadastre and Cartogrphy (Russian Federation), and Swedesurvey AB. The goal of the cooperation is exchange of experience and realization of projects in the parties respective ares of activity. Rosreestr and Swedesurvey has also in the MoU defined main areas of cooperation.
