Data Conversion System
During 1987 to 1993 Swedesurvey staff participated
in the development of the Danish registration system for for handling
of land titles. The Danish Ministry of Justice is the client.
Swedesurvey
support was focused on the development of a data
capture system designed to handle continuous mass production of converted
data, i.e. conversion
of the manual register books to EDP-media. The
work included analysis and design for the data capture sytem used to convert
the information
in the register books.
Swedsurvey staff was responsible
for system design and programming of the conversion system, including
design of the production
plan. The project started in 1987 with a pilot
system in a jurisdiction area close to Copenhagen. After the pilot test
run at this office the
conversion system was put into operation on a
national scale in 1993.
