Capacity Building in Serbia and Montenegro
The National Land Survey of Sweden -Lantmateriet ( working under name Swedesurvey outside of Sweden) has been selected
as the Swedish International Development Agency’s (Sida) cooperating partner in a 3 year capacity building project for
Serbia’s State Geodetic Authority (RGA). The project, started in January 2006. The project is worth approximately 2.8
million EUR and will run until December 2008.

The project main goals are:
- Assistance in building sustainable capacity of carrying out the six-year WB real cadastre and land register project efficiently
- Assist RGA in building a capable organization that provides sustainable high quality of goods and services to the stakeholders
and to become the leader in the area of land administration in Serbia
This project’s Capacity Building programs seeks to leverage Lantmäteriet as a sister agency to the RGA, providing a focused
and coordinated approach to the delivery of the best possible, goods, consulting services, and training programs.
Lantmateriet/Swedesurvey will help the RGA evolve into a modern institution of land administration by: helping to strengthen
its organizational structure; building its management and human resource skills and; by building its capacity to deploy today’s most beneficial technical solutions.
Lantmäteriet/Swedesurvey appointed Mrs Andja Zimic as Project Manager for Serbia and Montenegro.
